Rain could once again threaten to disrupt the second T20I. After the series opener was washed out in Durham, intermittent showers are forecast during the day, although conditions are expected to be better than the previous match.
Even so, passing rain could lead to delays or a shortened contest.
Whether Vaibhav Sooryavanshi makes his India debut in the second T20I at Old Trafford remains one of the biggest talking points. The 15-year-old prodigy was left out of the opening match, but growing calls from former cricketers and fans have intensified ahead of Manchester.
India, however, may stick with their experienced top order despite the clamour for the youngster’s inclusion.
