India must shift from producing research and patents to deploying technology at scale across sectors, said Chief Economic Adviser V. Anantha Nageswaran at the 67^th Institute Day of Indian Institute of Technology Madras on Thursday.

India’s economy, currently around $3.9 trillion, could nearly double to about $7.8 trillion over the next six years, with a longer-term target of reaching $30 trillion by the centenary of Independence, he said.
