The Tamil Nadu Police have registered an FIR against BJP leader VV Senthilnathan for allegedly making obscene remarks against Congress MP Jothimani during an election rally in Karur.

Senthilnathan, the BJP’s Karur district president, reportedly made beyond-crass remarks while addressing a public gathering. The remarks triggered sharp criticism from the Congress, which termed them ‘vulgar’ and ‘derogatory’.
