Flydubai flight FZ1073 plunge: pilots’ cockpit fight sparks panic, Israel scrambles jets

Screams and cries of panic were heard inside a flydubai Dubai-Tel Aviv flight after a mid-air fight broke out between the pilots. A viral video recorded inside the cabin captures the fear and chaos among passengers as the aircraft makes a rapid descent following the pilots’ brawl in the cockpit.

A violent brawl broke out between the two pilots on flight FZ1073, triggering an emergency signal and raising concerns about a possible hijacking. Israel scrambled fighter jets after receiving the alert.

A passenger, Miriam, said she heard screaming from the cockpit. When the cockpit door was opened, she saw one of the pilots injured, with “blood everywhere”.

Flight-tracking data showed the aircraft crossing into Jordanian airspace before making a U-turn towards Saudi Arabia. The flight was subsequently diverted to Tabuk, where it landed safely.
