CBSE to conduct CTET 2026 on February 8, information bulletin to be released soon | Education News
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has today announced that the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be held on February 8, 2026 (Sunday). The exam, comprising Paper I and Paper II, will be conducted in 20 languages across 132 cities nationwide.
CBSE said that the detailed information bulletin — including the exam structure, syllabus, list of languages, eligibility criteria, examination fees, city list, and key dates — will be released shortly on the official CTET website, ctet.nic.in. Candidates have been advised to download and carefully read the bulletin before submitting their applications.
The application process will be completely online, and aspiring candidates can apply only through the CTET website once the registration window opens.
CTET is a national-level eligibility test for individuals seeking to qualify for teaching positions at the primary and upper primary levels in schools across India. Further updates, including the start date for online applications, are expected to be announced soon.
